Meet Bryana Kappa


Bryana Kappa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT90464) who specializes in therapy with infants, toddlers, and their family members. Bryana exclusively serves families with young children zero to five years old. Bryana uses play and drama therapy strategies in her work with children and families to promote attachment and provide overall symptom relief. Years of experience in providing evidence based treatments enable Bryana to provide high quality care to all of her clients and families. Furthermore, Bryana has extensive experience in working with at-risk mothers and families in their homes and in a therapeutic preschool. As a result, her work has helped mothers heal from postpartum depression and feel more connected to their new roles. Especially relevant, Bryana specializes in supporting families as they heal from trauma, separation, and adjusting to difficult life moments.

Bryana received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama from New York University. Upon graduating, Bryana learned about Drama Therapy, and decided to pursue a career in the healing arts. She then earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and became licensed as an Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) in 2015. Her commitment to continuing education is a testament to her work ethic, passion, and respect for families and their children.

Bryana earned certifications in Child Parent Psychotherapy and the Reflective Parenting Program, both Evidence Based Practices. As a Certified Educator of Infant Massage (CEIM®), Bryana offers a unique approach to treating postpartum depression. Bryana has trained at the Drama Therapy Institute of Los Angeles since 2011, and hopes to become a Registered Drama Therapist in the near future. Finally, Bryana has years of training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy through UC Davis.
