Meet Maria Cappetta

I am a passionate clinician and deeply empathetic individual endeavoring to work with families to support healthy child-parent bonds. After having my own daughter, I was inspired to study child development as a way of providing support for her successful growth and development.

Over time, it became my desire to share my passion for parenting as well as my acquired knowledge and skill set with other parents. In order to implement my dreams and transform them into action, I soon decided to embark upon the journey to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. I went on to receive my MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.

I have received training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and have experience working with developmental trauma in both children and adults. Although I tailor my approach to the unique needs and personality of each client, I draw most frequently from the principals of Systems, Humanistic, and Attachment-Based Psychotherapy to help empower clients to create their desired change and to ultimately live their best life possible.

Children explore, grow, and learn to express themselves through the imaginative world of play. Through a unique, dynamic, and powerful relationship, I support my clients in learning a better way to communicate and methodically work through their emotions in a way that is safe and natural for them. This is my passion, and this is why I feel so fortunate to support families while performing the work I love!
