Meet Lisa Ramos
Lisa has extensive experience working with children and adolescents on the Autism Spectrum and with other learning differences. She has also worked as a behavior therapist, providing both in-home and school-based interventions. Her professional experience includes working in both community and private practice settings. Lisa formerly worked at Cancer Support Community Redondo Beach, where she utilized a variety of therapeutic approaches to support patients and their families in navigating the world of treatment, chronic pain and end of life issues. Her clinical work in private practice has provided her with a wide range of knowledge on issues such as grief and loss, depression, anxiety, self-harm, drug and alcohol abuse, parenting issues, divorce, and trauma.
Lisa’s approach is person-centered, empathetic and direct. Lisa holds a safe space through which she helps clients develop skills, and build a sense of empowerment to tackle their concerns. She understands that it takes a great deal of strength and courage to begin therapy and her goal is to support you in living a full, meaningful life. She believes there are many ways to work through life’s challenges and that everyone has the ability to learn, grow and create change.
