Meet Yasuno Yoshizawa


Yasuno Yoshizawa is a bilingual (Japanese-English) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. (LMFT #112040), and a board certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC #19-154).  After graduating from Musashino Art University in Tokyo Japan, Yasuno moved to the US where she earned her Masters degree in marriage and family therapy with an emphasis in art therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in San Francisco. 

Working with both children and pre-teens, Yasuno’s experience includes but is not limited to; ADHD, attachment issues, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, sensory integration dysfunction, sibling issues, family divorce, and other family issues.  In addition to art therapy, Yasuno has received extensive training in psychodynamic therapy, parent-child therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, and reflective parenting. 

Yasuno utilizes the power of art as a different form of communication to engage both verbal or non-verbal children. As a first generation immigrant herself, Yasuno is also specialized in cultural and immigrant psychology, issues related to acculturation, and issues relating to families from multicultural backgrounds
